Hope this not getting in the way of your Uni studies....

There are lots of versions of our 'project', spawned from you excellent YouTube tutorials.
We have broken them down into several parts to be combined as one at a later date, each one has the same idiosyncrasies, so I have just attached the one most simple version (updated with our slant on your invaluable help with the "added_at" issue).

Basically...
Start Spotify playing a track then run the code. After a while pause the track on Spotify and wait for the timeout (10 minutes we believe). At this point our code should recognise the 204 response and start a "monitoring" watch on the Spotify account.
It does a token refresh and a "get currently playing" API call every so often. But after a while (sometimes hours) it crashes.. 
This is where your brain comes in please.. !!
